About the Role

CoreStaff is seeking a highly skilled Project Site Engineer to join our team in Darwin, Northern Territory. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate onsite activities and ensure high standards of quality are maintained
  • Manage the Quality Control System, including production of ITPs, organizing inspections, and reviewing project documentation
  • Oversee the document control system for the project
  • Identify and assist with the resolution of technical and quality issues onsite
  • Assist with completion of construction activities on schedule and ensure a safe working environment
  • Conduct effective communication with project stakeholders and maintain accurate site records
  • Be conversant with all contract and project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules
  • Ensure the provisions of the project quality plan are upheld and manage quality inspections
  • Resolve quality assurance matters and perform verification functions as detailed in the project quality management plan
Occupational Health & Safety Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with the Workplace Health & Safety Act and observe safety procedures
  • Assist with the identification, preparation, and implementation of project safety procedures
  • Promote safety awareness and lead by example
  • Assist with identifying safety training requirements and ensure safe equipment and plant is provided and maintained
  • View safety audits and inspection reports and initiate action/rectification where necessary
Environmental Management Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Acts under the NT EPA jurisdiction and assess site objectives and targets for Environmental Management
  • Ensure adequate storage is available for hazardous chemicals and substances and manage erosion and sediment control measures
  • Action environmental reports and carry out environmental inspections
  • Investigate hazard reports and ensure corrective actions are undertaken
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Ability to develop knowledge of other engineering/construction disciplines and commercial functions
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • White Card and full work rights
