Key Role in Asbestos Removal

We are seeking a seasoned Asbestos Supervisor to support our experienced onsite teams and work collaboratively with other asbestos labourers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the organisation of works teams, achieving financial targets, ensuring adherence to asbestos removal procedures, maintaining relevant documents, developing and implementing control plans, liaising with regulatory bodies, and training asbestos workers to company standards.

Job Description:

The Asbestos Supervisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient removal of asbestos from various sites. This involves coordinating the efforts of multiple teams, monitoring progress, and addressing any challenges that may arise during the process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in asbestos removal management, particularly with friable asbestos
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to develop and implement effective asbestos removal control plans and risk assessments
  • Experience with policies and procedures
  • Current driver's license (MR license an advantage)
  • Computer literacy
  • Cert IV in OHS or Training and Assessment desirable
  • VET course qualifications highly favourable
  • Understanding of Safework SA requirements and ability to complete SWMSs and other relevant site paperwork
  • Police clearances (or the ability to obtain them)
