**Job Summary**
Randstad is proud to partner with a leading provider of construction and strategic building maintenance services for the government. We have an immediate need for an Electrical Inspector based in a regional office. This will initially be a contract role with strong opportunities to extend and to apply internally once the probation period has been met.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct inspections of electrical installations to validate compliance with industry standards.
- Document works and maintain records in accordance with company policies.
- Carry out safety audits to ensure electrical contractors are following their SWMS specifications and standard of workmanship.
- Manage incoming repairs and condition reports for electrical systems in government facilities.
- Liaise with clients and contractors on project completion.
- Work in a team, communicating with contractors, government officials, and senior supervisors on project status.
- Investigate technical issues and provide written technical reports.
- May be required to conduct inspections on switchboards and sub-circuits in government facilities.
**Requirements:**
- Be trained in asbestos-related work practices and provide evidence of this on request.
- Possess a thorough understanding of industry standards, regulations, and codes of practice.
- Hold a current driver's license.
- Must hold a current electrical workers license.
- Must be able to pass a criminal history check and hold a Blue Card.
- Possess current working rights in Australia.
