About the Role:

  • Lead in design, architecture adoption, and coding best practices while guiding teams with evidence-based problem-solving.
  • Ensure alignment with broader Technology Strategy by working closely with Enterprise Architecture.
  • Champion and enforce software engineering best practices and effective governance.
  • Oversee technology and tooling for innovative product development across new and existing platforms.
  • Collaborate with business users to analyse requirements and document solution options, considering long-term impacts.
  • Mentor development teams and ensure adherence to best practices, delivering stable and scalable software solutions.
  • Enhance security through better practices, collaborating with the Cyber Security team to mitigate risks and stay updated on evolving threats.
  • Continuously improve development processes and platforms, sharing knowledge of new technologies and best practices within the team.

Technical Background:

  • Solid .NET and/or Java knowledge.
  • Extensive experience in designing and developing software systems that are highly available, scalable, and reliable.
  • Experience leveraging AWS native services to build software solutions.
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience with messaging frameworks like Kafka and RabbitMQ.
