Your Role

As an Employment Support Specialist, you will be responsible for developing strong relationships with participants, understanding their needs, interests, skills, and experiences. You will assist with resume development, job application preparation, and interview coaching, as well as identifying and assessing barriers to employment and creating solutions to support participants in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing individualised job plans to support clear pathways into sustainable employment
  • Assisting participants with resume development, job application preparation, and interview coaching
  • Identifying and assessing barriers to employment and creating solutions to support participants in the workplace
  • Sourcing employment opportunities through networking and sales strategies
  • Building and maintaining relationships with potential employers and community organisations

Requirements

  • A strong sense of empathy and compassion for individuals with disabilities, illnesses, or employment barriers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to maintain composure under pressure and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • A background in customer service, sales, retail, call centres, hospitality, consulting, business development, or administration
  • Full Australian working rights and a valid driver's license (desired)
