Job Description

This is a dynamic and challenging role in the Department of the Legislative Council. As the Clerk, you will provide strategic leadership, direction, and oversight to the Department.

You will be responsible for accurate and timely advice to the President, Members, and stakeholders on complex matters of parliamentary law, practice, and procedure.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in Parliamentary law, practice, and procedure as well as a strong understanding of relevant Victorian legislative frameworks.

They will also have experience in strategic leadership roles in complex, high-performing environments and the ability to work in a demanding, highly confidential, and time-pressured environment.
