Customised Support Practitioner

This position involves promoting participants' autonomy, self-expression and reporting any areas of concern. The NDIS Workforce Capability Framework describes this role as an Advanced Support Worker for services funded under the NDIS.
As a Behavioural Intervention Specialist, you will follow all policies and procedures, communicating feedback from participants to management, changes in participant circumstances or environment, work health and safety issues, and concerns.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
You will assess service users using positive behaviour support principles, assist staff in developing intervention strategies, and participate in reviews for participants on your caseload. You will also design behavioural plans, provide psychological assessments, and intervention strategies.
In addition, you will collaborate with disability services, conduct psychometric and behavioural assessments, complete reports, and evaluate client outcomes. Your goal is to create a custom treatment plan utilising a strengths-based approach and incorporating Child Safe Standards in your practice when working with children and young people.
