About This Role

Our organization is seeking a skilled professional to lead the planning and development of network capabilities, identify constraints, and implement solutions for future electricity demand. This role will involve collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to shape network strategy and ensure regulatory alignment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver power system studies using simulation tools, providing actionable insights from complex analysis.
  • Manage non-network solutions to reduce demand and defer capital investment, utilizing strong commercial and regulatory acumen.
  • Prepare and communicate regulatory investment proposals, planning reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Provide technical leadership on network augmentation, bushfire safety compliance, and contingency planning.
Requirements
  • A qualified electrical engineer with extensive experience in electricity network planning and asset management.
  • Proficient in power system analysis tools such as PSS/E, PowerFactory or PSCAD, with Python programming skills highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the National Electricity Rules, regulatory frameworks, and energy market dynamics.
