Our client, a leading water utility, is embarking on a transformative journey to establish a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) function.

About the Role

This position, reporting directly to the Head of Infrastructure and Cloud, will be responsible for building and leading the SRE function in Azure, leveraging Elastic, OpenShift, and DevOps tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement SRE processes and tools to ensure high-quality, reliable, and efficient infrastructure.
• Collaborate with infrastructure specialists to provision infrastructure and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
• Manage and support monitoring tools, logging, and alerting functions to ensure proactive issue detection and resolution.
• Demonstrate expertise in Azure, OpenShift, and Elastic for infrastructure builds and maintenance.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience in DevOps tools, practices, Infra-as-Code, CI/CD, Automation, and Orchestration.
• At least 5 years of experience in Cloud/DevOps engineering.
• Experience with managing and building infrastructure using OpenShift and Elastic.

Additionally, you will need to have valid Australian working rights (Australian Citizenship or Permanent residency).
