Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Description:

This is a part-time role based in Sydney, responsible for quality assurance supervision of third-party manufacturers, packers, and storage facilities.

The successful candidate will establish relationships with third-party suppliers to enhance product quality and manufacturing effectiveness and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing product release, auditing, addressing customer complaints and deviations associated with third-party manufacturers
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all staff and third-party contractor personnel
  • Identifying and assessing new contractors in conjunction with relevant departments
  • Preparing and maintaining agreements with contractors to ensure clear responsibilities and protection of interests
  • Monitoring contract manufacturers' quality indicators and performance to identify potential problems
  • Ensuring greater than 95% compliance with training requirements and attending all sessions as determined by the Manager
  • Encouraging a quality culture with all staff and acting in accordance with quality standards and values
  • Reviewing deviations from third-party manufacturers to ensure adequate investigation and suitable outcome
  • Reviewing proposed corrective actions by contractors and tracking approved actions for timely closure
  • Investigating customer complaints and determining suitable responses and corrective actions
  • Assessing change controls to evaluate appropriateness, impact, and implementation plan
  • Reviewing quality documents for adequacy and completeness
  • Performing internal and external audits to assess compliance with industry standards, company policies, and contractual obligations

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in science or engineering
  • 5-7 years' experience in the pharmaceutical or similar manufacturing industry
  • Experience in developing, operating, and maintaining management systems
  • Understanding of chemical and microbiological test processes used in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Understanding of Marketing Authorization process in Australia and New Zealand
  • Ability to create meaningful relationships with diverse groups of people
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ability to learn new software applications
