Meet the Requirements of a Dining Assistant

This is an opportunity to work in the hospitality sector and be responsible for various activities including food preparation and service, in room service, and maintaining clean dining areas.

The Role:

  • Prepare and serve food to our residents.
  • Clean kitchen and dining room areas, including all related equipment.
  • Maintain excellent safety awareness – adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation standards.
  • Enhance the dining experience for our elderly residents.

This role involves physical tasks such as bending, squatting, lifting, and pushing items to carry out daily tasks safely.

We require that you can perform these tasks without risk of injury to yourself, your colleagues, or our residents.

About You:

  • 6 Months of previous kitchen experience preferably in the aged care sector.
  • Strong ability to follow workplace safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to problem solve, work with minimal supervision, and think on your feet.
  • Hard Working, flexible with good availability to cover shifts.
  • Show genuine care and compassion during mealtimes.
