Operations Director

Plant Operations Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee the manufacturing plant in a leadership capacity. This is a key role that requires strong strategic planning and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily meetings to support operational excellence and production processes
• Collaborate with engineers to organize manufacturing schedules, forecasting, and resource requirements
• Drive efficient plant operations to meet business objectives
• Lead the production team effectively through coaching and training
• Provide technical advice and lean methodologies to improve processes
• Ongoing maintenance and fault-find repair work
• Manage KPIs and drive a culture of continuous improvement
• Understand and implement safety protocols
• Ensure timely delivery of products meets customer expectations

Requirements:

• TAFE or degree in a relevant field such as engineering or business
• 5 years of experience in production or manufacturing management
• Previous experience in lean environments
• Strong continuous improvement and problem-solving skills
• A deep understanding of business principles and practices
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
• Knowledge of OH&S standards and regulations
• Ability to build and manage high-performing teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
