Lead Consultant for Cultural Heritage and Archaeological Management

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our team in delivering high-quality cultural heritage and archaeological management projects throughout NSW.

Your Role:
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing cultural heritage and archaeological projects, with expertise in leading project teams, conducting fieldwork, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of projects, providing strategic guidance, and mentoring junior staff to develop their skills and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery: Lead the delivery of cultural heritage and archaeological projects, ensuring timely completion, quality of deliverables, and client satisfaction.
- Client Engagement: Engage with clients to understand project requirements, provide expert advice on heritage and archaeological matters, and develop tailored solutions that meet client needs while adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior staff, helping them develop their skills and expertise in cultural heritage and archaeological management.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, developers, planners, and heritage organisations.
- Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with relevant State and Commonwealth heritage legislation and associated regulations and guidelines, with experience in NSW highly regarded.
Requirements:
- A degree in Cultural Heritage Management, Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience in cultural heritage and archaeological management, preferably in a consultancy environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including project management and team coordination.
- Knowledge of relevant State and Commonwealth heritage legislation and associated regulations and guidelines.
What We Offer:
We provide a competitive salary based on your skills and experience, estimated at $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and background.
