The Role

As a Nmftrading Software Engineer – Data Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work at the heart of our trading systems, building robust and reliable data platforms that are critical to our success. You will work directly with traders and developers to help solve problems in real-time, develop your talents across a broad array of technical disciplines, and collaborate in a constantly evolving environment with new challenges and opportunities to learn every day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work directly with traders and developers to help solve problems in real-time.
  • Develop and maintain data platforms that are critical to our trading operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technology is relevant to business requirements and to ensure buy-in from key stakeholders.
  • Constantly test, review, and analyze our systems and technology, improving coding and protocols for optimal performance.
  • Proactively collaborate on ideas around innovation to our Technology and processes to ensure optimal operation.
  • Critically analyze our in-house Trading Platform to ensure it is optimized for efficiency and performance.
Requirements
  • Development experience in Java, C++, or C#.
  • Experience working in Linux environments.
  • Understanding of network protocols and some experience configuring physical equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
