About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to join our team. As a Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality legal services across key functional areas of insurance operations.

  • Providing timely, commercially focused legal and governance advice to business partners.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with business partners to understand their strategic priorities.
  • Staying informed on legislative and regulatory changes impacting insurance operations.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a prominent ASX-listed financial services organisation and be part of a high-performance culture within the Legal and Company Secretariat team.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 3 years PQE in legal practice.
  • Proficiency in legal drafting, advisory roles, and negotiation; strong understanding of insurance law and regulatory frameworks.
  • Previous experience in insurance law, insurance litigation, property, liability or statutory insurance, regulatory compliance (including Chapter 7 of the Corporations Act, Insurance Contracts Act, and General Insurance Code of Practice), claims management, policy interpretation, complaints handling, and insurance risk management.
