About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse to join our team, providing forensic mental health services in a voluntary treatment program for youth with harmful sexual behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct mental health assessments and provide education, counselling, and group work as essential components of care
  • Consult and liaise with other professional disciplines and non-governmental organisations to coordinate care
  • Provide direction, support, orientation, and education to other staff using clinical expertise
  • Lead and participate in action research projects, quality improvement initiatives, and policy development within the practice setting
About You
  • You must be registered or eligible for registration as a nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • You should have an enrolled mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice
  • You will be able to conduct mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions of a complex nature with children, adolescents with eating disorders and/or emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • You must be able to relate to people from a diverse range of cultural and social backgrounds
  • You should have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
