Biospecimen Laboratory Manager Position

As the Biospecimen Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for providing high-level technical and operational support to ensure the effective operation of the NSW Regional Biospecimen Services laboratory.
Key Performance Indicators- Coordinate the day-to-day biospecimen technical support services across Callaghan and HMRI based programs.
- Ensure quality control of laboratory setups with stringent adherence to protocols.
- Provide specialist advice and general assistance to staff and students in relation to current biospecimen best practice.
- Provide direct operational support to the blood processing and biobanking teams.
This role requires a strong understanding of biospecimen best practices and laboratory operations. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
This is a 12-month fixed-term position, with the possibility of extension. The role will be located at the Hunter Medical Research Institute (Awabakal and Worimi land).
