Newstead, Queensland, Australia Bank of Queensland Full time

About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned Learning and Development Specialist to drive operational excellence and customer experience across our Retail Brands.

As our ideal candidate, you'll be responsible for building, embedding, and refining learning experiences aligned with the Retail Capability Framework. This includes creating onboarding programs, upskilling initiatives, performance support tools, and role transition programs.

You'll lead a small team of capability specialists, guiding and mentoring them to ensure effective implementation of learning experiences. Additionally, you'll facilitate workshops, training sessions, and other learning activities to ensure effective knowledge transfer and skill development.

You'll work closely with the Learning Design team to develop learning content, including instructor-led training, facilitation guides, leader-led training, user guides, SOPs, playbooks, infographics, SupportPoint pages, and e-learning modules.

Furthermore, you'll consult with subject matter experts to address small to medium change requests, determining the most appropriate learning interventions.

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll have strong information and communication design skills that facilitate effective knowledge transfer and understanding.

Your experience in learning and development will be crucial, enabling you to create impactful training programs and resources. You'll create meaningful learning experiences that drive engagement and growth by reviewing existing programs with a fresh L&D lens.

Additionally, you'll possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate systems thinking capabilities, allowing you to distinguish training needs from other requirements such as process improvement, system design, communication, and change management.

You'll have intermediate instructional design skills, including video production, e-learning, assessment creation, and classroom facilitation. Your classroom facilitation skills will also be well honed.
