About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and energetic individual to join our team as a Senior Support Worker. As a key member of our Family Mental Health Support Services, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and their families to improve long-term outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one sessions with young people and facilitate therapeutic groups in a school and community setting.
  • Develop and implement Family Action Plans to support the needs of children and their families.
  • Build strong relationships with participants, families, and community stakeholders to ensure effective support and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement programs that promote mental health and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that support the organization's mission and values.
Requirements
  • Psychology, counselling, or Social Work/Social Science qualification (preferred but not required for the right candidate).
  • Experience working with children and their families, particularly in a mental health or support context.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality services.
  • Current driver's license and willingness to obtain a Working with Children and Criminal Record Check.
  • NDIS Worker Screening (essential or willing to obtain).
