We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Carer Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with carers, providing advocacy and support, delivering training programs, and working closely with the case management team to identify suitable carer matches for children.

You will also be required to maintain accurate records, prepare detailed reports, and ensure compliance with all child protection regulations and legislative requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Social Work, Social Science, Psychology, or a related field, or a Diploma with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in child protection, foster care, or related fields, including knowledge of trauma-informed care, child development, and attachment theory.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills, as well as the ability to conduct assessments and reviews.
  • A valid NSW Working with Children Check, National Police History Check, and access to a vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
  • Fluency in a relevant community language, post-graduate qualifications, or additional training in child protection, trauma-informed care, or family support services.
