Heavy Vehicle Diesel Technician Job

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Vehicle Diesel Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will have experience working on on-highway trucks or aligned equipment such as power gen / heavy plant equipment. A reliable and punctual team player with a good attitude and willingness to develop your knowledge and expertise is essential.

As a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing at your best in a safe and modern workshop with leading edge tooling. You will also have opportunities to work with iconic & reputable brands and participate in on-going factory training courses.

Job Responsibilities
  • Vehicle diagnosis leading to mechanical repairs and component replacement on chassis' and engines.
  • Learn through daily variety of repairs.
  • Engine, transmission and diff. full rebuilds.
  • Use of diagnostic laptops to fault trace and adjust operating parameters.
  • Hydraulics and PTO work on trucks and trailers.
  • Auto electrical and fabrication work.
  • Roadside assistance unit.
  • VicRoads roadworthy inspections.
  • Pre-delivery and support work for the PACCAR factory.
Requirements
  • A qualified technician with experience working on on-highway trucks or aligned equipment.
  • A reliable and punctual team player with a good attitude and willingness to develop your knowledge and expertise.
  • Ideally you have a current HR/HC drivers' license preferred but not essential.
