Advanced Manufacturing Leadership Opportunity

Technical leaders who want to make a real-world impact are encouraged to apply for this exciting opportunity. As a key player in a collaborative, cross-functional team, you'll work closely with robotics and mechatronics engineers to build software that seamlessly integrates with hardware systems.

The role involves leading the design and development of innovative software solutions in Rust, C++, and related technologies. You will collaborate with experts to optimize automated manufacturing, build reusable libraries, APIs, and scalable platforms, and drive best practice in Agile, DevOps, testing, and automation.

As a mentor, you will shape technical strategy, contribute to product roadmaps, and help define how we build things. This is an excellent chance to explore AI tooling and be part of a small, fast-moving team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of software solutions using Rust, C++, and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with robotics and mechatronics experts to optimize automated manufacturing processes.
  • Build reusable libraries, APIs, and scalable platforms to support efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Drive best practices in Agile, DevOps, testing, and automation to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Mentor engineers, shape technical strategy, and contribute to product roadmaps to achieve business objectives.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a technical leader delivering complex software solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of Rust and/or C++; experience with CGAL, other 3D or path planning concepts, Qt, and UI frameworks is a plus.
  • Strong background in Agile, TDD/automated testing, CI/CD, and DevOps culture.
  • Adaptive mindset with a can-do attitude and passion for exploring AI tooling.
  • Collaborative engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
