About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Business Development to join our team at IGO. As a key member of our corporate development team, you will play a critical role in identifying and executing strategic transactions that drive business growth and value creation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end M&A process, including target identification, due diligence, negotiations, planning, and deal management activities;
  • Develop and implement corporate development strategies and initiatives in line with IGO's strategic objectives and inorganic growth pipeline;
  • Provide strategic analysis and advice to the Head of Business Development and Executive Leadership Team;
  • Develop and maintain networking relationships in the global investment community, as well as participants in metals, mining, and processing industries to understand industry trends and explore new business opportunities;
  • Ensure department and organisational compliance to governance standards and ASX policies;
  • Proactively manage IGO's equity portfolio and royalty book;
  • Provide advice to the Head of Business Development and Executive Leadership Team on optimal funding options available to IGO through connectivity with debt and equity capital markets.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated capability in transaction due diligence and execution within the mining and resources sector;
  • A shared value alignment with IGO, particularly around the clean energy space;
  • Strong commercial and negotiating skills;
  • Highly developed communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at the highest level;
  • Proven experience acting in an advisory capacity to the Executive Leadership Team;
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Masters degree preferred); and
  • Thorough working knowledge of, and ability to comply with legislative Acts and/or regulations applicable to Mergers and Acquisitions, Due Diligence, and Investor Relations.
