Job Overview

Are you a skilled driver with experience transporting dangerous goods? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our asphalt team in Victoria.

This role involves delivering bitumen products in a safe and efficient manner to asphalt plants across Metro Melbourne and road spray teams in regional Victoria. You will be responsible for loading and unloading the truck, working closely with our Spray team in Regional Victoria, and performing minor fault finding and maintenance on the truck if required.

Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy vehicle combination (primarily a B-Double) transporting dangerous goods
  • Maintain and promote a positive public image of the organization
  • Maintain and report faults for company trucks
  • Deliver to loading sites at Dandenong, Geelong and Laverton plants
  • Ensure safety and environmental standards are met
Requirements
  • Dedicated and committed driver with experience transporting Dangerous Goods, ideally bitumen or other DG liquids
  • Strong commitment to safety and the environment with superior customer focus
  • HC or MC drivers' license with a Dangerous Goods license (desirable, not essential)
  • Experience in tanker operation and handling of bituminous products (desirable)
  • Understanding of Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) an advantage
  • Team player with ability to work well independently
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet operational requirements
