Job Description

The Manager, Remuneration and Benefits position is a critical role within Swinburne University that requires an individual with expertise in managing remuneration frameworks, policies, and practices.

About the Role

This position involves overseeing the end-to-end remuneration program of the University, providing expert advice, solutions, and recommendations on remuneration matters. As a trusted partner to colleagues in the People function and across functions, you will deliver effective remuneration solutions that align with the University's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the correct application and governance of the University's remuneration frameworks, policies, and practices to maintain consistency, fairness, and equity across the organization.
  • Staying informed about remuneration trends, reviewing market data, engaging in industry forums, and staying up-to-date on regulatory changes to ensure that our reward frameworks reflect current market information and best practices.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a job evaluation framework (ideally Mercer) and build organisational capability to ensure the accurate definition and evaluation of roles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge managing and maintaining a remuneration framework.
  • Solid background in developing a compelling benefits profile and delivering reward programs within medium to large organisation.
  • Proven ability to be analytical & handle data effectively with the ability to track and understand the market and trends over time.
Qualifications
  • Post Graduate qualifications in Human Resources, Business or other relevant disciplines together with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range between $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus 17% superannuation.

Please note that the salary range is based on the HEW 9 salary scale, which is applicable to the location of Hawthorn campus. The actual salary may vary depending on the individual's experience and qualifications.
