Job Summary

This role is responsible for preparing, packaging and labeling meals, entrees, salads, party trays, rotisserie chicken, sliced meats and cheeses. Additionally, the Service Deli Assistant will prepare take-and-bake pizzas, stock and rotate merchandise in the display case, maintain machinery and equipment, and provide prompt and courteous customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dismantle equipment, wash, rinse and sanitize removable parts, equipment in the Deli and Rotisserie rooms.
  • Inspect and reassemble equipment, addressing any corrective actions from the previous night.
  • Rework display case, filling and rotating merchandise.
  • Complete required department paperwork.
  • Clean and sanitize work area throughout the day following sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP) guidelines for proper cleaning and sanitation of all equipment required by this position.
  • Complete and comply with 11 commandments of Quality assurance, food safety certification, department specific training and all safety training required by warehouse, service deli and rotisserie department.
  • Comply with health code by following sanitation standards and maintaining proper temperatures.
  • Stock and rotate supplies in cooler/freezer.
  • Remove rubbish from department and work areas.
  • Operate trash compactor and cardboard baler.
  • Skewer and load chicken into rotisserie ovens.
  • Cook chicken as per Standard Operating Procedure.
  • Packaged, label and display chicken in hot holding cabinet.
  • Adhere to all departments Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Prepare meat, poultry, cold meat, vegetables and seafood as per Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assemble platters, pizzas, sushi, salads, raw meats and other items sold in the Service Deli and Rotisserie departments.
  • Assist with other department of the warehouse as necessary.
  • Provides and ensures prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees and vendors.
Requirements:
  • Previous food handling experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery such as pressure washer, commercial dish washer, combination heat/steam oven, warming case, shears, wheeled racks, proofing boxes, ovens, trash compactor, cardboard baler, pallet jack, blast chiller, air hose cleaner, step ladder.
