Cloud Engineer

A cloud engineer is responsible for designing, building, deploying, and managing the infrastructure of a company's cloud computing environment.

This role involves working with various technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to ensure that the company's cloud infrastructure meets its scalability, reliability, and security needs.

As a cloud engineer, you will be working closely with cross-functional teams such as software development, IT operations, and security to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and deploy scalable, secure, and efficient cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline cloud deployment and management processes.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to design, build, and deploy cloud-native applications.
  • Work closely with IT operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications in the cloud.
  • Perform ongoing monitoring and maintenance of cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in designing, building, and deploying cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and governance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Professional certifications in cloud computing, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Azure Certified: Azure Developer Associate.
