We are seeking a talented Control Systems Engineer to play a vital role in the design and delivery of industrial control and communication systems for electrical protection in power stations.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with professionals to assess and implement emerging energy generation solutions across thermal and renewable power projects.

  • Apply your technical expertise across gas turbines (OCGT/CCGT), coal-fired and hydro power stations
  • Support the design and delivery of control and instrumentation systems (PLC, DCS), functional safety systems (AS 61511)
  • Contribute to the development of control and protection system communications using industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, Ethernet/IP, OPC) and IEC 61850 networks
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers on secondary systems such as protection and excitation systems
  • Perform electrical engineering analysis and ensure compliance with Australian Standards
  • Review and verify engineering drawings, reports, and technical documentation
  • Provide expert input across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with quality systems and client expectations
