The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead critical infrastructure projects for a global environmental leader. As a Capital Projects Engineer, you will oversee the full project lifecycle from planning to execution across plant sectors. This is a hands-on position coordinating all aspects of project execution, including schedule management, risk assessments, subcontractor oversight, and documentation control.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop documentation for the site asset renewal program per the Asset Management Plan.
- Plan and initiate assigned capital and operational projects.
- Prepare and manage change and associated project documentation.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Prepare project business cases for the capital program.
- Coordinate management of change process and reporting.
- Prepare detailed project scopes aligned with standards/specifications.
- Coordinate design reviews, risk assessments, and HAZOPs.
- Liaise with operations, maintenance, procurement, and asset management teams.
- Coordinate site visits for project tenders/quotes.
- Prepare purchase orders for approved works.
- Coordinate shutdown work to meet production requirements.
- Provide project oversight for quality requirements.
- Manage subcontractors and engineering consultants.
- Manage project budgets and approve contractor invoices and progress claims.
- Comply with OH&S, environmental, and quality policies/procedures.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline is required. Understanding of operating plant environments and management systems is also essential.
