We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport and Drainage Operations Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional asset maintenance services across our region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing operational leadership for road maintenance, transport, pavement, and drainage services. This includes developing, implementing, and monitoring levels of service and operations plans in alignment with asset management principles, regional budgets, and resource needs.
You will work closely with our team members to ensure timely and consistent regional response to customer requests. Additionally, you will handle negotiations and management of the Road Maintenance Performance Contract with the Department of Transport and Main Roads QLD, and support achievement of Council's Corporate and Operational Plan objectives.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and strategic thinker to join our organization and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services to our community.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Proven highly developed managerial and supervisory skills, including the use of contemporary techniques such as team building, quality assurance, total quality management, and time management.
- Highly developed communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, including demonstrated interpersonal, oral, and written ability, as well as a solution-focused mindset.
- A strategic and operational understanding of Department of Transport and Main Roads Road Maintenance Performance Contracts (RMPC).
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or relevant experience in Road Construction and Maintenance.
- Construction white card.
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
- Understanding of RMPC specific programs, such as REFLECT.
