The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist or Senior (terrestrial) based in our Paramatta Office. However, field work is also a regular part of this role. You will join a close-knit team of industry-leading professionals who value their staff and promote an open, innovative, and supportive culture.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner with local and federal government, regulatory authorities, and private organisations on a range of projects:

  • Supervise others and leverage your established contacts & networks for business development.
  • Deliver high-quality expert advice and manage stakeholders internally & externally.
  • Mixture of field and office-based projects.
  • Manage your own projects with support from other teams as needed.
  • Lead ecological field investigations, report preparation & biodiversity assessments across NSW.
  • Undertake broader environmental investigations and impact statements.

About You

We are looking for an established or emerging leader (6+ years post-grad) who ideally possesses:

  • Degree-qualified ecologist with significant post-graduate experience (6+ years), preferably within a consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated botanical identification skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of relevant NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation.
  • Sound experience within Sydney Basin ecology and undertaking ecological survey in the vegetation communities of NSW.
  • BAM Accreditation and/or bushfire planning accreditation would be highly regarded but not essential.
  • Driver's license and reliable car.
