We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Renewable Energy Project Manager/Engineer to join our team at Octopus Capital Ltd in Melbourne or Sydney. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for delivering renewable energy projects across various stages of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the construction stage delivery of renewable energy projects, ensuring scope, program, budget, and stakeholder engagement are aligned to achieve optimal project outcomes.
  2. Provide engineering support to the wider business, including:
    1. Contributing technical expertise to due diligence processes for investment decisions.
    2. Supporting development and procurement activities.
    3. Evaluating operating plant performance and investigating issues.
    4. Assisting with investor relations.
Requirements:
  1. Experience in managing the construction stage delivery of renewable energy hybrid and/or BESS projects.
  2. Exceptional project and contract management skills.
  3. Highly organized, with the ability to manage complex contracts and relationships with project stakeholders effectively.
  4. Strong understanding of engineering design processes.
  5. Evidence of managing complex engineering activities in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Demonstrated commercial acumen, with the ability to consider technical challenges in a broader commercial and investment context.
  8. Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental practices, legislation, and requirements.
  9. A strong team player with a collaborative attitude and a willingness to learn.
  10. Eligibility to work in Australia; visa sponsorship is not offered.
  11. Engineering qualifications, preferably in renewable energy, electrical, civil, or a related engineering discipline.
