Sandvik Mining Equipment Technician Opportunity

 

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions in Mount Isa QLD. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing top-notch maintenance and repair services to our customers, ensuring their equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out general mechanical duties, maintenance, repairs and fault diagnosis work on all Sandvik Mining equipment.
  • Perform mechanical maintenance duties as per maintenance plans while upholding the integrity of the equipment and ensuring safe operation is not compromised.
  • Provide feedback for efficient maintenance planning improvements.
  • Record keeping of parts usage, equipment monitoring, time records.
  • Adhere to all policies & procedures, especially EHS policies

Requirements:

  • Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certification is required.
  • Demonstrated previous experience with Trucks, Loaders and Drilling mobile mining equipment would be a distinct advantage
  • Strong and proven safety culture
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service focus and motivation and determination to achieve targets and goals
  • Proactive, self-motivated and demonstrate initiative
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Class C Manual Driver's License
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, reference checks, police checks and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing
