We are seeking highly motivated and collaborative APS 6 Capability Analysts to join our Digital Capability Division. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in strengthening Australia's national security through digital capability decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to support the lifecycle management of digital products and platforms.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of broader Defence policy and strategic objectives, including the National Defence Strategy.
- Identify, analyse, and interpret business and stakeholder needs to generate user stories and requirements.
- Provide high-level secretariat support to all Digital Capability committees, including scheduling, coordination, and governance arrangements.
- Contribute to the preparation of capability development documentation, including business cases and submissions to government.
Digital Capability Division uses the One Defence Capability System to develop, adapt, and extend digital capabilities. We provide end-to-end work take-on and execution of the Chief Information Officer's Capability Manager responsibilities across the lifecycle.

You will be able to identify and employ mixed methods analysis techniques and effectively communicate findings with internal and external stakeholders. Strong strategic thinking, resilience, and planning skills are essential for this role.
Experience in SAFe Agile is desirable but not essential. Additional professionalisation, training, and development will be offered to successful candidates.
