We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Advocacy and Major Projects Officer to join our External Relations - Advocacy team. As a key member of our team, you will provide specialist technical and strategic advice to support Council's advocacy agenda and strategic interests.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in policy research, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement. You will be an expert in building relationships with government, industry, and community partners, and have experience in negotiating positive policy, reputation, and funding outcomes.

Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist technical and strategic advice to support Council's advocacy agenda and strategic interests.
- Develop and implement strategic, tactical, and operational plans, projects, and initiatives that enhance Council's reputation and deliver positive investment and advocacy outcomes.
- Act as a technical specialist providing guidance and support to key stakeholders in the implementation of Council's advocacy agenda, including seeking external funding.
- Lead the delivery of complex and multi-disciplinary proposals and projects across the council and with external partners to achieve strategic and business outcomes.
- Strong background in policy research, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
- Expertise in building relationships with government, industry, and community partners.
- Experience in negotiating positive policy, reputation, and funding outcomes.
- Highly developed analytical skills and ability to take a strategic, political perspective on federal, state, and local matters.
