About the OpportunityAussie Fluid Power, part of Questas Group, is a leading hydraulic and process equipment specialist in Western Australia. We work with major companies on large-scale projects across various sectors, including oil and gas, mining, renewables, marine, and general industry. Our team consists of experienced professionals who value diversity, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop hydraulic systems, including skids, lifting frames, reservoirs, walkways, instrumentation panels, tubing/piping, and components bracketry.
- Support the team in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.
- Work closely with the engineering leadership team to guide and assist engineers with calculations, mechanical design, and fabrication drawings.
- Provide technical expertise to investigate and resolve technical and commercial matters.
- Select and manage vendors and sub-contractors as needed.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Relevant qualifications and at least five years' experience in mechanical engineering.
- Experience in designing and manufacturing fluid/gas process packages and offshore oil & gas knowledge.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD LT and Autodesk Inventor (or SolidWorks).
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and certifications.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
We offer a competitive salary range of AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus:
- 8 weeks paid parental leave and 1 week secondary carer leave.
