We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead a team of Supervisors on a Shutdown project at a chemical plant in Central Queensland. As the Superintendent, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services, providing supervision and coordination, and ensuring the successful completion of the project.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the availability of materials, machinery, equipment, and personnel to ensure the completion of work.
- Conduct daily toolbox and pre-start meetings to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Ensure Supervisors and labor are suitably trained and possess the necessary skills to undertake their designated responsibilities.
- Assess risks and hazards involved in tasks and develop methods to manage them to prevent incidents, injuries, and damage.
- Maintain daily timesheets for labor and equipment.
- Plan and coordinate resources and equipment for Outages and conduct the work in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
- Ensure the quality requirements of the client are met and Company procedures are followed.
We are looking for a candidate with a Trade Certificate and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role. Experience in maintenance or shutdown projects, preferably in chemical plants or similar, is highly desirable. You should have strong communication and written skills, with the ability to establish clear lines of control and delegation.
