Sydney Maintenance Electrician Job

As a skilled Maintenance Electrician in Sydney, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and upgrading traffic signal, ITS, and streetlighting equipment/systems.

This is a permanent full-time position working 6am to 2pm with a requirement of night shift once per month, on-call after hours one day per week, and providing coverage over the weekend once a month.

About the Role:
  • Main responsibilities include maintaining traffic signals and ITS equipment
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and contract or project management systems
  • Implementing and complying with site OH&S requirements as per Ventia policy
  • Participating in 'on-call' and relief service obligations
  • Participating in training to improve capabilities required for the contract or project
  • Reviewing operational and maintenance procedures
  • Supporting Asset Manager and ITS Asset Engineer for delivery of Asset Management Planning Services across the project

You will work autonomously with tools and vehicle provided, primarily on-site. Parking is available for any office days. Shiftwork and on-call are available with penalties.

About You:
  • Relevant trade experience and electrical license are essential
  • Experience in ITS and/or traffic signals is mandatory
  • A valid driver's license and White Card are also required
  • Able to provide outside of hours assistance whenever needed
