The Labour Operations Leader oversees and coordinates a team to optimize labour planning, aligning resources with evolving business requirements. They manage the hiring, training, and scheduling of field team members, working closely with key stakeholders.

This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic demand planning, and analytical abilities to drive support and partnership across management levels. Effective labour planning is crucial for timely delivery of events, necessitating efficient allocation of personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with DETs, Project Managers, Sales, and Operations to ensure optimal labour planning for all events
  • Analyze regional labour reports, providing actionable recommendations for staffing adjustments, training, and other performance improvements
  • Contribute to interview and hiring processes for new technician candidates
  • Manage a roster of casual and full-time technicians to meet show delivery needs
  • Oversee the Timetarget/HumanForce system for accurate data capture and payroll authorization
  • Plan skill-mix optimization and minimize payroll costs
  • Liaise with venues to utilize crew as needed
  • Respond to general inquiries regarding staff shifts and troubleshooting

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a similar role or related field
  • Excellent communication, time management, and analytical skills
  • Able to manage competing deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills
  • Ability to interact successfully with various management levels
  • Regional management and multi-location management experience
  • Excel/data analysis skills
