About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and empathic Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Mind Australia Limited. This is a full-time opportunity to work in the Bendigo area, providing high-quality counseling services and psychological clinical therapies to individuals, groups, and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based counseling services, psychological clinical therapies, and care plans to individuals accessing our services.
  • Utilize expertise in delivering individualized therapies adjusted to meet the needs of clients, either face-to-face, telehealth, or online.
  • Provide clinical advice and consultation to stakeholders internal and external to the organization.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure counseling approaches align with individual support plans.
  • Develop and deliver therapeutic group work sessions to assist clients in building their capacity.

Requirements

  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Psychology and significant experience in the field.
  • Able to obtain registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) through postgraduate studies or relevant years of supervised practice.
  • Demonstrated participation in ongoing professional development to meet required registration standards.
  • Proven experience in Community Services, Mental Health, Disability, Social Welfare, Housing, Healthcare, or Government sectors.
  • Experience and expertise in working directly with individuals with mental health challenges, AOD challenges, complex needs, and their families, carers, and supporters.
  • Demonstrated understanding of lived experience approaches, including peer work, Intentional Peer Support, co-design, and workforce development.

  • Salary packaging up to $15,899 p.a.
  • Generous leave entitlements, including 8 weeks paid parental leave and 17.5% annual leave loading.
  • This position is eligible for an incentive payment up to $10,000 for rent, childcare, relocation costs, and more, as part of the new workforce and incentive grants program administered by the Rural Workforce Agency Victoria (RWAV).
