Women's Mental Health Specialist

The Alfred Hospital is a leading tertiary teaching hospital offering a wide range of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne. Our team provides ambulatory, inpatient, and home and community-based services.

About the Department

The Women's Mental Health Centre is a partnership between The Alfred Hospital and other healthcare providers. It supports Victorian women with complex mental health conditions, including trauma, sexual abuse, eating disorders, and perinatal mental health issues.

About the Role

We are seeking a Women's Mental Health Specialist to provide clinical expertise at our centre. This is a 24-hour per week position, available from September 2025 to September 2026.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Legally qualified medical practitioners registered or registrable with AHPRA without conditions, undertakings, or reprimands impacting clinical practice.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).
  • Relevant knowledge and experience in Psychiatry, including treatment of eating disorders.
  • Meets The Alfred Hospital credentialing and scope of practice requirements in Psychiatry.
  • Teaching and research involvement are desirable.
