Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Chemist to join our team in Melbourne, AU. As a key member of our coatings development team, you will be responsible for conducting hands-on experiments to develop and test surface coatings, analyzing experimental data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct experimentation and analysis to develop and test surface coatings, utilizing scientific methodology and creative problem-solving.
  • Analyze experimental data to draw meaningful conclusions that drive product development and innovation.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols for personal and equipment safety in a laboratory environment.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization, including product managers, manufacturing teams, and external partners.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Previous experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in calculation and formulation.
  • Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for identifying nuances in formulations, raw materials, and product quality.
  • Ability to discern colors accurately.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment calibration, quality control testing procedures, and complaint investigation protocols.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
