Role Overview

The B737 Simulator Instructor is responsible for all training activities being delivered in compliance with defined standards and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training duties in accordance with FSI job description guidelines.
  • Follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Recommend revisions to SOPs where necessary.
  • Assist with preparation of courseware and training materials, including theoretical examinations, to meet CASA requirements.
  • Monitor client/student progress and develop action plans as required.
  • Promote and support improvements and enhancements to processes, documentation, courseware, and training materials.
  • Participate in Progress, Academic & Disciplinary Review Boards, providing recommendations for remedial action.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Lead Instructor or HOT.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1000 hours pilot-in-command experience on a multi-crew jet transport.
  • Hold a valid Simulator Instructor Rating or equivalent certification.
  • Previous experience as a simulator Instructor/Type Rating Instructor.
  • Previous experience in Airline/ATO training.
  • Hold/Have held an ICAO-recognized ATPL/CPL/MPL with minimum ICAO English level 5.
  • Knowledge/experience of AQP/EBT/CBTA/IEC.
  • Knowledge of civil aviation regulations governing civil aviation training.
  • Motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of working effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Basic IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Working Conditions:

  • Work environments: Office, classrooms, and FSTDs.
  • Required to work outside office hours to conduct FSTD training or assigned duties.
  • Rosters for training duties planned according to the Training and Procedures Manual requirements for Instructors.
