Cloud Security Lead Role

We are seeking an expert Cloud Security Engineer to oversee the security of our cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on AWS as our primary cloud provider.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud security and be proficient in tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or Ansible. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Reviewing cloud architecture and configurations to ensure alignment with security best practices.
    • Conducting risk assessments, threat modelling, and vulnerability analysis across cloud platforms.
    • Implementing and managing cloud-native security tools, particularly Prisma Cloud CNAPP.
    • Designing and deploying automated security workflows and remediation processes.
    • Collaborating with DevOps and engineering teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines.
    • Responding to and managing cloud-related security incidents.
    • Developing and enforcing cloud security policies, standards, and controls.
    • Providing expert guidance and support to teams on cloud security principles and practices.
  • Required qualifications include:
    • Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Cloud security certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP); AWS Security Certification preferred.
    • Strong hands-on experience with AWS; familiarity with Azure and GCP is a plus.
    • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
    • Proven experience securing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or similar.
    • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
    • Familiarity with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Solid understanding of common application security threats (e.g., SQL injection, XSS).
    • Experience with Prisma Cloud CNAPP would be highly beneficial.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
