Electrical Engineer Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Electrical Engineer.

You will be responsible for delivering electrical projects, managing electrical audits and works programs, plant reliability, efficiency improvement initiatives, and general engineering/technical support across various Victorian sites.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating electrical audits and inspections
  • Developing/maintaining scope documents for periodic electrical maintenance and inspections
  • Undertaking energy audits and RCA's for electrical incidents
  • Working with sites on energy reduction actions and projects
  • Coordination of change management processes for plant electrical drawings & PLC & SCADA programs
  • Management of electrical projects from initiation and feasibility assessments through implementation, commissioning and closeout
  • Plant automation works and process studies targeted at OEE improvements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • At least 3 years of proven experience working in a similar environment
  • Experience in site supervision of multiple trades/contractors
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, cable schedules and P&IDs
  • Understanding of PLC programmes, systems and hardware
  • Ability to manage, influence and build rapport with stakeholders from various functions to effectively manage works
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills
