We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our kitchen team as a Dishroom Assistant. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, a positive attitude, and excellent time management skills.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work effectively in a team, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate high attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
The Dishroom Assistant will be responsible for operating the industrial dishwasher, washing and sorting dishes, closing and cleaning up duties, following sanitation policies, and assisting chefs with basic prep duties.
Responsibilities:- Operate the Industrial Dishwasher: Ensure all dishes are washed and sanitized to meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Wash and Sort Dishes When Necessary: Clean and sort dishes, pots, and pans, ensuring they are ready for use in service.
- Closing and Cleaning Up Duties: Complete all closing duties, including cleaning equipment, sweeping and mopping floors, and disposing of waste.
- Follow Sanitation Policies: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Provide Assistance to Chefs and Other Kitchen Staff: Offer support to chefs and other kitchen staff during peak times, ensuring smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Clean Up Spills or Broken Glassware Immediately: Respond promptly to spills or broken glassware, maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
- Assist Chefs with Basic Prep Duties: Assist chefs with basic preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, marinating meat, and portioning ingredients.
