Asbestos Abatement Specialist

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Asbestos Abatement Specialist to join our team in Sydney.
About the RoleThis position involves fieldwork and ongoing learning with support from experienced team members. You will have the opportunity to contribute to creating a sustainable future while working in a setting that encourages growth and diversity.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct pre-start medical checks and prepare for demolition/remediation tasks.
- Participate in site inductions, SWMS/JSAs, and annual management reviews.
- Prepare certificates of completion and deliver samples to laboratories according to client-agreed timelines.
- Develop a working knowledge of current legislation and COPs related to environmental management, occupational hygiene, OHS, and development.
- Assist or manage occupational health, safety, and environmental projects.
- 1-3 years of experience in building demolition, preferably as a supervisor.
- Construction white card, First Aid, or Removal accreditation (preferred).
- Full Australian Driver's license and car (at least Temporary Resident).
- Experience with Macbook Numbers, Dropbox, Xero, Microsoft Suite (preferred).
- Strong time management, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Adaptability, quick learner, with a passion for achieving best practice outcomes.
- Strong work ethic, with a desire for learning. Friendly, proactive, and self-motivated.
