Salary and Benefits

As a Leading Hand with Shadforth Civil Contractors, you can expect to earn a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $120,000 per annum, paid weekly with overtime. We also offer a range of benefits, including:

Job Description

As a Leading Hand, you will be responsible for leading a small team and subcontractors effectively to achieve desired outcomes. You will promote a positive team culture and deliver positive outcomes for all stakeholders.


Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:



  • Demonstrated experience as a Leading Hand or desire to step up into the role
  • Experience in subdivisions with coverage of bulk earthworks, pipe infrastructure, civils, and roadworks
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans
  • Ability to deliver projects to agreed outcomes
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Construction Industry Card (White/Blue)
  • Current Driver Licence
  • Variety of plant machinery tickets will be highly regarded
  • Strong commitment to Quality and Safety standards
