Supportive Therapist
At our centre, we offer a comprehensive peer support service to individuals with mental health challenges and substance use issues. Our team of experienced therapists provides guidance and encouragement to help consumers achieve their recovery goals.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Supportive Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a Supportive Therapist, you will work closely with consumers, clinicians, and other stakeholders to provide individualized support and facilitate group work in AOD integrated care. You will be responsible for promoting the recovery approach to substance use and addiction, as well as mental health challenges, and supporting consumers in their journey towards self-determination and personal strengths.

If you have a lived or living experience of a mental illness and AOD needs, a strong commitment to recovery-oriented practice, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to consumers with mental health challenges and substance use issues.
  • Facilitate group work in AOD integrated care, promoting the recovery approach to substance use and addiction.
  • Work collaboratively with clinicians, consumers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement individualized plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the quality of service delivery.


Requirements:
  • Lived or living experience of a mental illness and AOD needs.
  • Strong commitment to recovery-oriented practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability in leadership and coordination of projects and group facilitation.
  • Evidence of knowledge, skills, and experience in the recovery approach to substance use and addiction and mental health challenges.
