Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Visual FoxPro Developer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex business applications built using Visual FoxPro 9.0.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality business applications using Visual FoxPro 9.0 Service Pack 2.
- Lead the modernization and migration of legacy systems where applicable.
- Provide technical guidance to junior developers and participate in code reviews to ensure best practices.
- Analyze and optimize existing code for performance and scalability.
- Write clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing project updates and participating in meetings with stakeholders, using fluent English.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Visual FoxPro 9.0 development.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Experience with legacy system migration and integration with newer technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in modern development environments or exposure to other programming languages (e.g., C#, .NET).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of source control systems (e.g., Git).
